In a nutshell: the source of your talcum powder, baby powder, cosmetic powder, you name it
Chemical Formula: Mg3Si4O10(OH)2
Uses: used as a cosmetic, lubricant, filler, chalk, and food additive, among other things
What’s so interesting about it? Despite the staggering number of applications of talc, there have been reports to suggest that talc may be linked to pulmonary issues, lung cancer, skin cancer and ovarian cancer. While these are not yet 100% proven, still it's wise to practice some caution in using talc in all its forms. You don't really need that cosmetic powder to be able to live a normal life, right? Plus, it'll clog your pores. Not good.

Well, I didn't know this either. I don't use talc that I know of, but I'm going to check the ingredients anyway. Have a great weekend. :)

Talc is in food...? Well, chalk another one up for the Compound boys!
I think I said compound boys in the last comment...I meant compound boy and girl. Ok, I'm drunk and just wasn't thinking...my bad!
